Metal roofs are a great idea except for the fact that they have vertical and horizontal seams, and a few THOUSAND holes for fasteners.
As your roof ages, the elements take their toll. The expansion and contraction of the metal with the temperature is what causes most of the damage. The seams and fastener holes start to leak.
